Prospective plans

  • The foundation will create and develop programs and projects that will be geared towards the larger educational development of the village.
  • The Foundation will support the lone Catholic secondary school to ensure that it stays operational***
  • Support will be provided through a variety of financial resources:
  • Financial Assistance from family members’ private funds
  • Fundraising through crowdfunding or socio-cultural events 
  • Support from Contributors through initiatives such as donation drives or  partaking n community-service projects 
  • Volunteering possibilities
  • Community outreach programs such as private or public tutoring, field trips for students, workshops etc
  • With the help of available resources, education will be promoted eventually through the following: 
  • School lunch and if possible school uniforms programs
  • Educating parents through adult or vocational education if possible
  • Improving resources for teachers and provide the necessary resources and facilities to promote technical skills for students.

  • In 2021, three deserving students from Seat of Wisdom Catholic Secondary School Mmockmbie were sponsored. And the intention is to add more students in the 2022 academic year. The goal is to increase the number of kids accordingly, depending on the budget.

Scholarship Recipient Selection Procedure

  • The scholarship selection panel will include the local priest, the school principal and one member of the parents Teachers Association (PTA) as well as a few members of the Ndi Nkemenkong foundation advisory board
  • Students on scholarship will have to maintain their academic prowess or credibility in order to remain in the scholarship program. As a result, each sponsored or prospective student’s academic report, transcript or performance will be made available to the foundation advisory board for evaluation in order to determine whether sponsorship will continue or not.
  • If at any given point a recipient is no longer highly performant, he or she will be replaced with any student who meets the scholarship criteria.
  • Scholarship will include fees and books for each academic year and the students will be sponsored from form one to upper sixth
  • The number of sponsored students will increase each year depending on the available budget.
  • Students will be selected based on their academic performance or merits and personal motivation.
